Ashlyn

Owner and Founder of Sweat House OC

Ashlyn is a native SoCal resident who originally grew up in Torrance, CA. She currently resides in Laguna Niguel with her husband Mike and her 2 littles, Mason and Savannah.
Growing up, Ashlyn played all sports under the sun, but focused on softball throughout her high school career. She moved on to study psychology and education at Antioch University and became a behavioral therapist for children with autism both in home and the school district for 7 years.

At the age of 27, Ashlyn tragically lost her 1st husband, which caused her to re-evaluate her life’s plan. Unaware of the next steps, she began diving deep into Pilates as both a method of fitness and a form of therapeutic release. This would ultimately be the foundation on which Sweat House was born.

After a few years of taking traditional Pilates classes, she then found Lagree Fitness. This would be the ultimate workout experience she was looking for. Lagree fulfilled everything she was looking for in a workout (cardio, toning, strength, cardio, flexibility, and high intensity while remaining low impact) After taking Lagree Fitness classes all over South Bay and Orange County, Ashlyn knew she found her calling and her next chapter. Ashlyn wanted to create a space for others, like herself, who were looking for an amazing workout while also finding a space of peace, hope, and joy.

In 2012 Ashlyn got Lagree Fitness certified with Sebastien Lagree and in 2013 her 1st studio in Mission Viejo was born. 2 years later she opened her second studio with her partner Pam in San Clemente and in 2022, Sarah came on board as a partner in Mission Viejo. Since then, they have had the ultimate joy of bringing you sweat, shakes, and Lagree!

Ashlyn’s ultimate goal with opening the studios was to create a safe space built off a positive community who share the same joy through Lagree Fitness. She wants everyone who walks through the door to feel encouraged, empowered, safe, welcomed, and included. She hopes you feel all those things and find your fitness home at Sweat House OC!

When she’s not at the studio, she loves spending time with her family, bbq-ing and social gatherings with friends, country concerts, wine nights with girlfriends, vacationing, and church on Sundays as a family.

What’s your favorite thing about owning the studios? 
COMMUNITY! I never dreamed the studios would be what they are now. The community that has been built is our driving force. We have seen so many friendships made, babies born, marriages, and a whole lot of physical transformations!  I absolutely love seeing clients goals being crushed and the progress they make over the months and years. I absolutely adore our clients and trainers and am so grateful they have chosen to take this ride with us!

Pam

Co-Owner of Sweat House San Clemente

Mom, teacher, beach lover, outdoor enthusiast, Pam is a southern California native who has been a fitness lover her whole life. Pam danced and played soccer competitively from early childhood through high school. After college, marriage, and two kids, she developed a love of long distance running and has run over 15 marathons and half marathons. Once her knees decided running was not for her any more, she found Lagree fitness and became hooked. Her passion for fitness, helping and teaching others, and high intensity workouts are all a part of why she has stuck with Lagree for the past 10 years, and why she decided to become a studio owner with Ashlyn. Pam loves teaching Lagree because it’s the most effective, functional, and low-impact workout she’s found. The physical workout helps her mind become clearer, helps her relieve stress, and stay strong and happy. Feeling strong and empowered in body, mind, and in spirit is her wish for every client who comes to Sweat House.

Pam lives in San Clemente and has two daughters. Her oldest, Sophie, is finishing her degree at Point Loma Nazarene University, and her youngest daughter, Chloe is at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. When she's not at the studio, Pam teaches 2nd grade at Palisades Elementary School in Capo Beach. She loves traveling, laying on the beach with a good book, and spending time with her family and friends.

What is your favorite part of teaching Lagree?
I love the clients.  Getting to know so many people on a personal level, and then pushing them to do what they didn't know (or didn't think) they could do makes teaching Lagree so meaningful.  I love the moaning and groaning during class and the big thank you after.  During the 50 minutes of class, I am a leader, coach, and therapist - but the best part of teaching is the relationships I develop with clients

Sarah 

Co-Owner of Sweat House Mission Viejo

Meet Sarah Ray, she is a Mother, wife and beach lover. Sarah moved to Dana Point, California from Minnesota as a junior in High school and she instantly fell in love with the weather and most importantly the beaches. She has always been extremely active and has a strong competitive dance background starting from an early age. Sarah graduated from Dana Hills in 1998 and from there went on to travel the globe, spending most of her time living in Milan, Italy. She absolutely loved the experience and enjoyed learning the language while at the same time growing her interest in the fashion industry. Upon graduating from FIDM with a degree in Merchandise Marketing, she worked in the corporate retail world as a buyer for over ten years. Working for retailers such as Tilly’s, Pacific Sunwear and the majority of her career being spent at BCBG Maxazria Group.

She has always been interested in the health and fitness industry and you can typically find her doing an array of workouts, from boxing, to spin, hot yoga and boot camps, but she fell in love when she found Lagree. Sarah took her first class and was immediately hooked. Not long after, she received her certification and has been teaching since 2015. Sarah is also certified as a TRX instructor and loves to teach when the opportunity arises. Sarah and her husband have three beautiful little boys and she has three amazing step children. They are busy and chaotic, but they couldn’t imagine their life any other way. Sarah has always been extremely motivated and she knows this next chapter will bring all the fulfillment in the world. Sharnee  

Senior Master Trainer / Director of Training and Development

Hey all! I moved from Australia to California to pursue my passion for Lagree Fitness 6 years ago. I love to not only teach Lagree at the Sweat House but I also passionately certify trainers across the USA and abroad as a Lagree Senior Master Trainer. My passion for movement stems from my extensive dance background (classical ballet, jazz, and lyrical dance). Born and raised in Sydney's surf, swim and active beach lifestyle, I have always been passionate about core conditioning. With my extensive background in fitness, I love to help clients achieve their goals of being leaner, stronger, more confident, and flexible with improved posture and body awareness. My MEGA passion for Lagree, has given me the opportunity to take and teach many classes and trainers around the USA and abroad.

Outside of Lagree, my creative passion is music. I have had many years of performing in dance and have played the guitar for decades. I pride myself on being knowledgeable and form-focused (clear verbal cues and educational, visual demos and hands-on adjustments) with pumping tunes, emphasis on posture, mind-body connection and achieving goals. Your form is always my top focus so don’t be shocked if you catch me adjusting you. My goal is to keep you safe while giving you a high intensity workout!

Hey Mega Babes! I am originally from Texas and relocated to SoCal last year after living overseas as expats in the Middle East & Asia for 9 years with my family. My background is in Corporate Marketing & Sales but I followed my passion for fitness & began teaching HIIT, Strength Classes and Bootcamp to adults and kids. I love making the workouts challenging but fun, so don’t be surprised if I bust out 80's dance moves or rap to California Love. I am always expanding my knowledge in all realms of fitness to stay well-rounded and ensure the best for my clients. I am ACE Group Fitness and ACE Bootcamp certified, TRX Level 1, Series Tabata Strength and Lagree Fitness Method certified. I can't wait to train with the Sweat House Tribe on the Mega!

Hi, Sweat House OC Peeps! My name is Lexi and I grew up in San Clemente, CA.I am truly blessed to have grown up in a small little beach town and now my hubby and I are raising our little family here. I fell in love with Lagree Fitness in 2010 as a client. It changed my overall well being, lifestyle, and it transformed my body completely. I knew it was my true calling so I left the Pharmaceutical world behind and became a Lagree Instructor in 2012. I absolutely love challenging clients to get out of their comfort zone, while bringing a fun and energetic vibe to every class I teach. I am also certified in TRX Suspension & Nationally Certified For Traditional Reformer Pilates. I believe to keep the class motivated you need upbeat music, lots of holds and a big smile! I cannot wait to have you in one of my classes! Fun fact: when I am not teaching, I am full-time Wedding Coordinator/Event Planner. I LOVE taking Lagree classes and riding my Peloton spinning it up!

Hey Sweat House! I am Mimosa, yes like our favorite Sunday drink! I was born in Los Angeles, and raised in Orange County. I graduated from UC Irvine and reside in Mission Viejo. I have many hobbies which include photography, playing piano, long distance running, and doing aerial silks. I stumbled into my first Lagree back in 2010, thinking it was just a traditional Reformer Pilates class. Boy, was I wrong! By the end of class, I was a sweaty mess! After a few days of being sore, I was ready to do it all over again. I took two classes a week, which slowly turned into five to six classes a week. I was addicted! I loved that the Lagree Method not only made physical changes to my body, but also had other benefits as well - more endurance for my runs, and more flexibility and strength for my aerial silks.

I decided to further my addiction and become the little fiyaahcracka that I am known as at Sweat House. Don’t let my petite size and harmless appearance fool you. I will challenge you and motivate you to push yourself outside of your comfort zone all while cheering you on and being your biggest fan!

Hi everyone! My name is Lauren Swain (but you can call me Lo). I was born in Newport Beach and grew up spending a lot of time in South County, so it is a huge pleasure to reconnect with the community as a part of the Sweat House team! I am Level 2 Lagree Certified, an instructor for Lagree on Demand and have been teaching in studios around Orange County for almost 9 years. If I’m not teaching or taking a Lagree class, I’m likely in or on the ocean, riding my beach cruiser, rollerblading, cooking, laughing with friends and family, or hanging out with my beautiful bulldog Rose.

What is your favorite thing about teaching Lagree? 
Of course watching clients grow stronger mentally and physically, but it’s far beyond that. Being able to work in an uplifting space with people that are intentional about personal growth is a monumental blessing. There’s nothing like setting the outside world aside with people who dedicate 50 minutes of their day to staying present and mindful, especially while performing one of the most intense workouts. I truly believe it is just as (if not more) cathartic and fulfilling instructing the classes, as it is taking them. Being a sucker for form, it is a blast to make tweaks and adjustments to make the individuals get the most out of every group class. The Lagree community is badass and it is such a pleasure to be a part!

I am a true So Cal girl from Huntington Beach. I have been active my whole life, running since the age of 7. I discovered Pilates as I was rehabilitating from a running injury which led me to discover Yoga and ultimately Lagree Fitness. I worked as a makeup artist in the entertainment, fashion, and wedding industries before deciding to pursue my passion and make my hobbies my career. I became a mom about the same time I became a NESTA certified personal trainer and received certifications in Lagree Fitness, TRX, Barre and Yoga. The transition was perfect for my family, although I am still working on my certification in parenting! When I am not teaching I am hanging out with my husband and son and I’m still running! I am also a student, working towards one more certification in Interior Design.

Hello everyone! I’m Skylar and I was born and raised in San Clemente, California. After high school, I had an itch to get out and experience change. I have lived all around California, from LA to SF! After a few years away, I am so excited to be back in my little beach city— nothing can quite compare to a San Clemente sunset! Growing up, I was always passionate about fitness and health, but didn’t realize I could make a career out of it. Then I found Lagree Fitness during summers back home at our very own Sweat House and have not been able to stop since! I fell in love with the method because it never gets easier; there are always new ways to challenge yourself and I love finding those deep shakes! Hi Sweat House! I’m Jenelle and can’t wait to train with you! A little about me..My passion for health and fitness emerged from a desire to effectively manage and treat my RA without medication. The moment I found Lagree I fell in love! The low impact, resistance training was exactly what I needed to strengthen and challenge my body. Today I am a nutrition nerd, avid gardener, wife, and mom to 3 wild boys. When I’m not teaching or wrangling kids, you will find me next to you on the Mega! Hello Sweat House! My name is Cerrissa. I was born and raised in Huntington Beach. And now live just a hop skip and a jump away, in Costa Mesa. I am blessed with an amazing family. I have an awesome hubby and we are raising a beautiful little girl and boy. They definitely keep our hands full, to say the least. In terms of hobbies-I love the outdoors. I love museums and art. And I LOVE adventures. 

I fell in love with Lagree back in 2017. I can honestly say that it saved my life! It instantly became my passion. In 2019 I was certified. I thought if I could inspire people like I was inspired why would I not! I left my career as a Financial Consultant in 2021. Now, I GET to live my passion full time. You know the mantra; Live What You Love? Well, that is me 100%

The reason that I love Lagree so much, is because it is one of the best things you can do Mind, Body and Soul. We all know how it is Low Impact but High intensity. Hi Sweat House! I'm Joanna - originally from the Pacific Northwest (Portland, Spokane, Seattle) before moving to California (SF, OC). Before Lagree, I had never found an exercise that I enjoyed doing regularly so decided to try ClassPass. For my very first class, a friend took me to a Lagree studio in San Francisco just 10 minutes walk from where I lived. It was truly love at first shake! I immediately cancelled my ClassPass membership and made that studio my second home. Fast forward to today, and I'm happy to call Sweat House my new second home. When I'm not on a machine or teaching, I'm managing partnerships and negotiating contracts in the tech industry, traveling the world with my husband, or hanging out with my dog on the couch. After years of sweating and shaking on the Mega (and introducing everyone I know to it), I'm still addicted to fast transitions and perfecting my form. I hope to help fuel or introduce you to your own addiction to the Mega!

Hey there! My name is Susan and I started taking Lagree classes almost a decade ago after my first son was born. Now I have two boys, and we live here in MV with my husband and our dog – who is my canine doppelganger. I was a real tomboy growing up, always climbing into places I wasn’t supposed to be and looking for adventures. I dabbled in all manner of sports, never found anything that stuck, and also got injured rather often. At one point during my time as a runner, I was struck by a car and needed intensive reconstructive surgery on my knee. I have benefited tremendously from Lagree’s low-impact exercises. I find that I'm stronger, more athletic and limber than I've ever been in my life. I also haven’t had an injury in years. This positive experience is the main reason I started teaching! I'm so passionate about helping my clients develop strength and physical capability – and ultimately lead longer happier lives. When you take my classes, you'll experience plenty of encouragement and hands-on guidance, topped with my signature dorky humor.

Hi Sweat House! My name is Scotlynn. I was born and raised in SoCal. I was a gymnast for 10 years until I made the switch to cheerleading in High School. I loved cheerleading and when I graduated I was looking for something to take its place. That’s when I found Lagree! I fell in love and I knew I wanted to take my love for Lagree and pass it on to the beautiful clients at Sweat House. Getting to see the clients challenge themselves is truly inspiring. Hi Everyone! My name is Alicia and I am so excited to be a part of the Sweat House team! I was born and raised in Huntington Beach, CA and had the opportunity to live on Oahu for four years while I was studying at UH Manoa. I met my husband when I was home on break back in 2017. That’s how I lucked out and found myself moving here to San Clemente, CA in 2019, after graduation. Shortly after moving to town, I came across the Lagree method through Sweat House and have been hooked ever since! I worked at yoga studios throughout college and loved it, but I was always looking for something more. Lagree was my answer and it has changed my life, both mentally and physically. The shake, the sweat and even the burn is addictive! When I am not working from home, teaching at a studio, or taking classes, I love spending time at the beach, hanging with my family and friends or snuggling up with my cat and dog! Hi Everyone! My name is Samie. I was raised in the Bay Area and originally decided to go to college in Washington, DC but after experiencing one winter, I quickly came back to sunny California! I graduated from Chapman University and now reside in San Juan Capistrano. My journey with Lagree Fitness began as a client and I quickly became addicted after the first few classes! The workouts made my body and mind feel better than ever and it truly became my happy hour. When I’m not teaching, you'll catch me exploring new restaurants around OC, traveling, shopping, at home with my dog and rabbit or right beside you on the mega. Can't wait to sweat it out together!
