Navigating the Lagree fitness method can be overwhelming for beginners. There are always new techniques to learn and adjustments to make in order to fully benefit from your class. That's why we're here to help! Today, we'll share five tips for maximizing your Lagree workout.
1. Arrive Early
Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before your class. This allows you time to sign a waiver, get set up with grippy socks if needed, and receive a proper introduction to the Megaformer machine. Our classes are 50 minutes long, and you don't want to miss any part of it by joining late. Rushing is never fun, so whether it’s your first or hundredth session, try to be early!
2. Create a Safe Environment
We’re not just talking about avoiding mistakes—we mean physical safety. Clients are required to wear grippy socks during class. These socks not only help keep you safe but also provide better traction on the Megaformer machine and maintain hygiene. Additionally, make sure you're properly nourished and hydrated before class. Proper hydration and nutrition can prevent cramping and injury, allowing you to perform at your best and enjoy your workout safely.
3. Set Yourself Up for Success
A helpful tip is to ask your instructor to place you next to an experienced participant. Classes can move quickly, especially if there aren’t many newcomers, so having a seasoned neighbor can be a great reference when the instructor transitions between moves rapidly.
4. Get Comfortable

They can give you a demonstration of the machine. Your first class won’t be as enjoyable if you don’t know the difference between the front and back platforms or the red and black handles. 5. Modify When Needed
You don’t need tons of exercise experience to take a Lagree fitness class, though it’s great if you do! Each class caters to all fitness levels, offering modifications for less intensity or variation when needed. Let your instructor know in advance if you have any injuries or are pregnant, so they can provide suitable movement variations.
